A mix of new music, and some show announcements 🍉
I’ve got an exclusive mix of new music for the start of your week, along with a few show announcements for my people in the Seattle area!
First up is the second installment of Seattle Bands Stand with Gaza, where I’ll be doing a short set of music alongside Shaina Shepherd, Hollis and much more. That one is happening March 14th at the Fremont Abbey Arts Center, tickets and more information are here.
Next up, on March 20th at The Erickson Theatre (shoutout to everyone who remembers when it was called The Little Theatre Off Broadway) I’ll be speaking on a panel alongside Hala Saleh, Farheen Siddiqui Ahmed, Jesse Roth and Jen Zeyl after a special reading of “My Name Is Rachel Corrie”. Tickets and more information here.
And finally, April 21st at the Black and Tan Hall in South Seattle I’m excited to co-headline a show with Day Soul Exquisite as they come home from their first tour, along with other hometown favorites Yirim Seck and Dsrt Flwr. I hope to see you all there, and I think this one might sell out quick, so grab your tickets here now!
Now for the latest mix. This one has a few exclusive remixes I made for folks like Meklit, Bobby Sanchez, and a different take on the one of the songs from my last album, along with new music from Phay (check out The Olive Tape exclusively on Bandcamp), Saint Levant & MC Abdul, Mustafa, Alsarah, K!MMORTAL, Shad, Essam, Brother Ali, Mumu Fresh, and a whole lot more.
These mixes are a way to say thank you to everyone who supports the Worldwide Underground, and all past mixes are available on this page.
