Jeremy Dutcher LIVE on KEXP
In the first Live on KEXP interview I got to host since last summer’s session with Sampa the Great, I got to have this expansive conversation with the incredible Jeremy Dutcher where we touched on the connection between language revitalization and land rematriation, the years of research that went into his debut album Wolastoqiyik Lintuwakonawa, and more.
Jeremy was in town as a part of Nia Tero’s 4th World Media Lab which brought together Indigenous filmmakers from all over the world to the Seattle International Film Festival, and to make this in-studio extra special, we were joined in the live room by all the incredible storytellers who were in town for the event.
You can watch this performance and interview on this playlist along with a bunch of other in-studios I got to host at KEXP through the years.
While my time at KEXP is coming to a close, I’m looking forward to continuing to have these kinds of conversations in new and exciting ways.
More soon.
