Releasing my first collection of instrumentals, tonight!
First off, I want to thank you everyone who supported the Palestine Will Live Forever festival almost 2 weeks ago in Seattle. Every artist, every one of my co-organizers, all of the staff, every sponsor, every volunteer, every vendor, everyone who attended, everyone who documented, and everyone who donated. What a thing. We all came together and raised $244,699 for the people of Gaza, and the energy of that day is something that all of us are gonna be carrying with us for a very long time. There’s a lot more photos, videos, and recap things happening on the PalestineForeverFest Instagram account.
Also want to let you know about a few things happening in my world.
In honor of Bandcamp Friday and the one year anniversary of From the Ashes of Our Homes - an album that has only felt more and more relevant as this last year unfolded - I’m releasing my very first collection of instrumentals. Ashes & Embers, featuring instrumental versions of all of the songs I produced from both the Ashes & Embers LPs. The album will go live tonight on Bandcamp (the best way to support my music) as well as all of the streamers.
And while you are on Bandcamp… be sure to click the “merch” button to get a limited-edition copy of Evidence of Things Not Seen on vinyl!!!

Very excited about performing at Langston Seattle for the Earshot Jazz Festival coming up on October 22nd! I’ll be performing with a 4 piece band including Ahamefule J. Oluo on trumpet, Camilo Estrada on bass, Chris Patin on drums, and Darrius Willrich on keys. Also on the bill that night are the psychedelic soul jazz shape-shifters AfroCop! Tickets for the double bill are available here. Hope to see y’all there!
