This upcoming October 28th marks 10 years since Evidence of Things Not Seen was released, an album I did with Aotearoa-based producer SoulChef that changed my life and slowly but surely became the most listened-to album in my entire catalog.
In honor of the albumversary and some shows I had planned for this upcoming fall, we decided to get the album pressed on vinyl for the first time ever.
I was hoping to get them in time for some events in October, and they happened to come early! You can order yours today exclusively on Bandcamp.
The next time I’ll have them for sale in person is my concert at the Earshot Jazz Festival in Seattle on October 22. Tickets for that event are here.
And have you been following the Palestine Will Live Forever Instagram account?
If not, let me tell you.
The biggest and most important event I’ve ever had a hand in organizing is coming up September 21st at the Seward Park Amphitheater in South Seattle.
It’s a benefit music festival with all proceeds going towards relief efforts in Palestine via Pious Projects, HEAL Palestine, Palestine Children’s Relief Fund and UNRWA.
On the bill we have the likes of Macklemore, Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf, Zeyne, Desirée Dawson, Samer, Eddy Mack, Suheir Hammad, Ijeoma Oluo, Native Guns (Bambu, Kiwi & DJ Phatrick), K-Salaam, Waheeb Nasan, Essam, Gabriel Teodros, Sammy Shiblaq, A.Rob, Abe Batshon, Nikkita Oliver, The Neighborhood Kids, Calina Lawrence, Rell Be Free, Khingz, Whodinii, DJ Mansaf Mama & more.
Tickets are available here now.
Since y’all are my people here on the Substack I wanted to let you know we are also still fundraising for the costs of the event itself. None of the ticket sales are paying for the event, and we of course are all volunteering our time, but there are still costs. If you or your peoples have the means and actually want to help sponsor the event, we could use a little more support here.
Appreciate y’all so much, and hope to see you soon!
